Finca Perros Bravos, meaning “Fierce Dogs” in Spanish, is a family run coffee farm founded by Juan David Cardona who left astrophysics to manage Perros Bravos. This coffee is a testament to how exceptional the coffee that their family farm is producing. We’re loving this natural process coffee with notes of hot cocoa, caramel, and mango. A balanced natural with mild acidity and heavy body.
In Colombia, washed processing is much more common - but Juan David was inspired to do something different and build a natural processing facility at Finca Perros Bravos. It is here that he experiments with fermentation and drying to bring out bold and bright flavors in their coffee.
Juan David also prioritizes mentoring young farmers through JovCoffee, an export business that builds up a new generation of coffee growers. Considering their commitment to mentoring young farmers, and their commitment to experimenting with processing, Perros Bravos is a farm that is at the forefront of innovation in Colombia.
